The second phase of our three-phase leadership initiative kicked off on June 20 with a series of one-day leadership workshops in the Portland Metro region. The workshops focus on RN professional role development, evidence-based practice and communication. The first three workshops were such a success that we have decided to take them on the road. We'll be bringing additional leadership workshops around the state in the coming months More information to come.

“Johnson & Johnson Promise of Nursing for Oregon Gala”
June 7, 2007
Thanks to Johnson & Johnson and with the help of a dedicated steering committee, we have been able to raise over $300,000 for nursing scholarships, faculty development, and program expansion in the state of Oregon! The Promise of Nursing for Oregon, held June 7, at the Portland Convention Center was a celebration of nurses and nursing. Steering committee members have been hard at work over the past 7 months soliciting organizations and vendors to sponsor nurses to attend the event. It was a beautiful evening and for those who attended, a chance to celebrate their profession with colleagues and friends. OCN was proud to bring this event to Oregon.
